The Institute of Astronomy at National Tsing Hua University was established in 2001 with its master program. The PhD program is expected to start from 2009. The purpose of the Institute is to conduct high-quality teaching to cultivate younger generations for astronomy education and research, to perform front-end astronomy research, and to become an internationally well-recognized institution.
